What is SCIDEA STAGE?
Do you have an idea sitting on the back burner, or are you researching an innovative approach that makes the work of caregivers easier, changes the lives of those affected by illness, or improves the healthcare system? Or do you have an innovative business model in the field of digital healthcare? This pitch competition offers your ideas a safe space, a stage to present them, and constructive feedback from experts on their development potential. Apply, win prize money, and gain valuable experience!
Approach
This year, SCIDEA STAGE will focus on robotics and digitalization in the care and healthcare sectors. Show how your idea addresses the challenges facing the healthcare system and creates real added value for patients, family members, caregivers, or the system itself. The five most compelling submissions will be nominated. The selected ideas will be pitched by their teams in three-minute presentations before a jury of innovation experts. The jurors will provide valuable feedback and select the winning teams.
Who can participate?
We’re looking for ideas from students and early-career researchers from all disciplines at MLU. Submissions can be made individually or as a team. The application is submitted online with a short project outline.
Timeline
- Through October 31: Online applications
- November 3: Nomination and announcement of the five finalists for SCIDEA STAGE 2026
- November 17, as part of Startup Week and the opening of the SCIDEA LAB Robotics and Digitalization incubator: 3-minute idea pitch on stage, 5 minutes of jury feedback, awards ceremony, followed by a robotics workshop [registration link to follow]
