Robotics and Digitalisation

The SCIDEA Lab focuses on robotic and digital solutions for healthcare and nursing care. Here, you can develop ideas and research questions, explore technologies in practice and work with people from different disciplines to create new approaches.

We support you in exploring how your ideas can be applied in practice and in developing them further with a view to knowledge and technology transfer.

What it's about

The focus is on real-world challenges: How can technology help reduce the workload of nursing professionals? How can it support independence and participation? What new opportunities can robotics and digital technologies offer for prevention, diagnostics and therapy?

The Lab brings together different perspectives. It is being developed in collaboration with the AG Versorgungsforschung | Pflege im Krankenhaus at the Faculty of Medicine, TPG - Innovationsregion für digitale Transformation der Pflege und Gesundheitsversorgung, and MLU’s Institutes of Computer Science and Information Systems. This brings together expertise in healthcare and nursing care with technological know-how – while remaining open to ideas and expertise from other disciplines.

The Lab is growing

We are currently creating an experimental space where robotic and digital solutions can be explored and prototypes tested. Equipment and opportunities to use the Lab are being expanded step by step.

Our seminars and technical courses already give you the opportunity to work hands-on with robotics and digital applications, try out new things and gain practical experience.

Courses and events

Your access to the SCIDEA Lab

The SCIDEA Lab is open to students and researchers at universities and non-university research institutions in Saxony-Anhalt.

You don’t need a fully developed idea to get involved. You can start with your own approach, an existing research question or simply an interest in exploring what the technology can do. Together, we’ll look at what you want to work on, how you can get involved and which technologies could support you along the way.

Join the Lab
